Introduction to Bookbinding
Spend a day getting to grips with bookbinding. We will be learning about paper, folding, sewing and covering three different single section notebooks with decorative papers: a soft cover pamphlet, a pamphlet with pockets front and back, and finally making a hard case pamphlet.
With the time left, using your skills learnt, you will design and experiment making your own single section notebook.
Please bring any special decorative papers for this project or paper memorabilia to make a special notebook for yourself or as a gift. If you don't have any, don't worry, there will be plenty of beautiful papers available on the day for you to choose from.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those looking to refresh their bookbinding skills.
A light lunch, refreshments and all materials are included, however please bring along any decorative papers that you fancy using.
