Winter Warmer

Spend a morning creating a unique polar fleece scarf decorated in your own choice of colours and motifs. The 'sublimation' method of application of the dye to the fabric allows an exciting range of effects, building layers of vibrant colour and pattern onto the soft fabric. We will be making a dinky pocket sized soft leather notebook with a marble paper lined wrap around cover and elastic fastener, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's notebook displayed in the Victoria and Albert museum.

We will learn how to sew a long stitch binding leaving us with a lovely exposed stitching along the spine. This is sometimes called a limp binding and was very popular in medieval times as a quicker way to bind papers together.

You will be able to choose from leather scraps, hand made marble off cuts and coloured linen thread and elastics to truly make it your personal creation.
