Just a note to thank you all for a really great weekend. The food and hospitality was fantastic as usual,
(especially appreciated by those with special diets), and the crafts were enjoyed by all.
Thanks also from those of us who stayed on for making us so welcome and for accommodating all the glass paraphenalia.
Looking forward to next time!

Have you ever had an experience which has changed your life for the better?
I have, and finding Westhope Craft College was it!

I have been coming to Westhope for about ten years now, having initially heard about if from a friend. I was totally bowled over by the place.
The wonderful college building – just like home from home – but dripping with the most fantastic craft work I have ever seen.
What’s more it all seemed achievable, albeit on a much more basic level, as the tutors and indeed other students were so willing to share their knowledge and expertise. My first weekend was a machine embroidery course and I persuaded a friend to come with me.
We live in Cheshire and she didn’t mind driving so that was a bonus. From then on I was hooked

I belong to the Warrington’s Craftworks Guild and couldn’t wait to tell everyone about Westhope. I decided to organise a residential craft weekend at the College for our group and it went down really well. I have been doing this for eight years now. We have had a different Tutor each time and have tried many different crafts and techniques that we would not otherwise have done.

What’s more, apart from the craft aspect, it has enabled group members to get to know one another better, has encouraged co-operation in the sharing of rooms and transport and has provided an opportunity for people who might not otherwise get a break to have one with friends.

Westhope is such a beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by wonderful gardens it’s simply a pleasure to be there – and of course the after breakfast dog walks are a real treat for us townies. Then there’s the delicious food, reared on the land or grown in the walled garden, all beautifully prepared and served. Nothing is too much trouble and all dietary needs are catered for.

I now come several times a year for my ‘holidays’ normally with a group of friends who love Westhope Craft College as much as I do. My visits are the ‘carrots’ that keep me going for the rest of the year!

I feel that I know the staff personally and view them as friends and they will willingly bend over backwards to try to meet our personal or group needs.

Last but not least thanks to Anne, the founder of the college, whose kindness and generosity has given us so much pleasure.

Miriam Gibbons.

I had a really lovely time. Westhope really is a special place where you can forget about the outside world and concentrate on creativity. I hope to return one day for either crochet or one of Pat's dressmaking courses. Please give my kindest regards to Ann and Pat and also to Pat B who cooked really the most delicious meals.

Dear All,  I would like to thank you for making my stay at Westhope so very pleasant.   Everything about my stay was memorable and I think that Westhope is a stress free haven for all crafters.   My room was so comfortable and spacious and I loved looking at the craftwork displayed there and everywhere I looked around the college.   Walking in the gardens and woodland was a great pleasure and also looking at the kitchen garden where so much of our lovely food came from.
Our meals were delicious - I haven't enjoyed that 'fresh from the garden' taste for many years.
The whole ambience of the place is happy and stress free - I just can't wait to come again.

Dear Pat, many thanks for all the wonderful food you provided this weekend. It's such a treat to be able to rely on someone else who can plan the menu, provide the lovely food and do the washing up!. I really enjoy coming to Westhope each year as you look after me so very well.

Best Wishes
Ann Allison
