It's Finished! Added: 5th April 2012
Finally, after three months, the scaffolding has been removed from the front of the College. The original time frame was two to three weeks, but in fairness to the roofers we decided to paint the woodwork aswell.
The plans for modernising the building are going ahead over the next 12 months. We are very fortunate to receive a grant of £32k from the Rural Challenge Fund, which is administered by Shropshire Council.
The money will go towards the cost of installing a new modern central heating system later this year, many thanks to them for that. This winter was not too bad, but we could have certainly done with a good heating system last year!

New roof nearing completion Added: 27th February 2012
The final tiles have been fitted on the roof, and what a difference it makes! No more leaks or bits of tile falling off.
As a bonus we have managed to persuade the scaffolding company (P.J Scaffolding of Owestry) to leave it up so we can paint the woodwork. Something that has not been done for many years. What with rebuilding one of the chimney stacks recently, it will look like a new building by the time we have finished.
Come and see it one Tuesday and have a ‘Drop In day’, we would love to see you.

Work continues on new roof Added: 31st January 2012
Work is progressing well on our new roof, the front part of the college roof is being replaced as part of our on going maintenance programme, stripping off the old roof has also given us the advantage of insulating the roof space as well as making it waterproof again. We hope the work will be completed by the middle of February as long as the weather is kind to us.
We would like to add that the current work does not affect the day to day running
of the college.Work is being carried out by Cooper & Williams of Shrewsbury.
