Overlocking knitted fabrics

Get to know how to use an overlocker to make working with stretch fabrics easy. Use the differential feed to remake necklines, hems and generally restyle a tee-shirt to create a perfect fit and add value.

Patchwork jacket with a difference

Using Pat' s jacket pattern and a choice of three different and unusual kinds of patchwork plus knitted sleeves and collar (for comfort and ease of making up)you will make yourself a jacket.Pat will knit the sleeves if you cannot. Choose from random foundation piecing, curved bias foundation strips, or bound edge overlapping patches. The jacket is as illustrated with side panels giving a slimming look and easy fit. More information will be supplied.This could be a waistcoat without knitted sleeves or collar.

This course will equip you with the skills to use a sewing maching and the bravery to tackle old garmets, cut them up and make indivudual re-designed items to wear. The course will encourage you to be spontaneous and inventive, building your confidence to design without the aid of patterns.
